The Geebung, Queensland, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Rebecca Sutherland, the much-loved Director and Teacher at C&K Geebung Kindergarten & Preschool, whose passing has left children, families, colleagues, and friends deeply saddened.
With heavy hearts, the kindy community shared the news of Rebecca’s passing, remembering her as a dedicated educator who devoted many years of her life to supporting young children and their families. Her passion for early childhood education and her commitment to creating a nurturing environment made her a cherished and respected member of the community.
Rebecca had a special gift for connecting with children, helping them feel valued, supported, and confident as they took their first steps in learning and development. Her gentle approach, patience, and genuine care created a safe and welcoming space where children could grow, explore, and discover their potential.
Throughout her years at C&K Geebung Kindergarten & Preschool, Rebecca touched the lives of countless children and families.
